ACOUSTIC EMISSION AND DAMAGE OF PRE-CYCLED STRUCTURAL STEELS

A study of the acoustic characteristics and damage of pre-cycled structural steels F500W, low-carbon steel and 15Cr2MnMoV samples under tension was made. A relationship between the total number of acoustic emission events, the maximum relative damage, and the relative number of preloading cycles, characterized by an exponential relationship has been established.
